Gratitude journal: notice the good, one line at a time
A gratitude journal is a small ritual: each day, you write down a few things you are grateful for. In MeditaDream, the Gratitude & Growth journal gives this ritual a home, with eleven sections and guided gratitude meditations to go with it. Everything you write stays on your phone. The app is free, with no subscription, no ads and no account.

What is a gratitude journal?
A gratitude journal is a notebook for the good things in your life, big or small. You might note a kind word, a good meal or a quiet moment in the sun. Writing them down is a way to slow down and really notice them.
There is nothing to perform and nothing to prove. The journal simply invites you to look at your day from a slightly different angle, and to keep a trace of what went well. On a hard day, one small thing is enough.
Gratitude does not mean pretending that everything is fine. It sits next to the rest of your day, without erasing it.
How to keep a gratitude journal, simply
The simplest method is often the one you will keep. There is no right length and no perfect moment, only a rhythm that suits you. Here are a few ideas to get started:
- Write one to three things a day. A single line is enough.
- Be specific: name the exact moment, like a message from a friend or the smell of rain.
- Pick a regular time, such as bedtime or your morning coffee.
- Include yourself now and then: something you did well also counts.
- Think of people too, and what they brought to your day.
- Keep it private. It is easier to be honest when no one else will read it.
- If you miss a day, simply start again the next one.
Inside the Gratitude & Growth journal
The Gratitude & Growth journal is made for what you are grateful for, and for where you want to grow. Daily Gratitude is the natural place to start.
You do not need to use every section. Daily Gratitude alone can carry the habit for a long time, and the others wait for the days when you want to explore further.
Some sections stay close to gratitude itself, such as Self Gratitude or Relationship Gratitude. Others turn toward growth, like Emotional Growth or Growth Tracker. Self Discovery and Forgiveness Practice go deeper, for evenings when you have more time. Here are all eleven:
- Daily Gratitude
- Self Gratitude
- Relationship Gratitude
- Emotional Growth
- Evolution, Confidence & Self-Worth
- Spiritual Growth
- Micro Victories
- Growth Tracker
- Gratitude through Life
- Self Discovery
- Forgiveness Practice
Gratitude meditation, from the body to the people who matter
Daily Gratitude is also the name of a 14-minute guided session. It begins in the body, with simple thanks for your legs, your sense of taste and your breath.
Precise Gratitude takes only 3 minutes: you pick one particular thing you truly value and rest your whole attention on it. For a longer gratitude meditation, try Gratitude to Your Guides, which lasts 23 minutes. It is a chance to thank, in turn, the people who have counted in your life, even those you never met. Two more sessions, on self-love and compassion, complete the selection.
A gratitude journal app that stays on your phone
Your journal is personal. Everything you write stays on your phone, and there is no account to create. With no ads and no subscription, nothing interrupts the moment you take for yourself.
The guided meditations download once, then play offline. Alongside Gratitude & Growth, the app includes four other journals, such as the Dream Journal and the Emotional Journal.
A simple evening ritual
If you want a routine, pair the journal with a short gratitude meditation. It only takes a few minutes:
- Listen to Precise Gratitude, which lasts 3 minutes.
- In the journal, go to Daily Gratitude and write one line.
- Read it back once, slowly, before you put your phone away.
- On busy evenings, keep only the first step: three minutes is enough.
