Grief & letting go: what MeditaDream changes

Grief has no timetable, and no meditation can rush it. What MeditaDream offers is a quiet space to be with what you feel. The Garden of Reunion invites you to explore words left unsaid, My Departed Animal honors the memory of a pet who’s gone, and Welcoming a Difficult Emotion makes room for sadness and anger.

Forgiveness comes at its own pace, and it’s never an obligation. Forgiving Without Forgetting looks at resentment without forcing you to forgive, Forgiving Yourself works gently with guilt, and Heart-Centered Ho’oponopono uses repeated phrases to support reflection. For letting go, The Forest of Thorns explores how you face what stands in your way.

Some days call for a refuge. Create your own sanctuary, write in your journals what you can’t say out loud, and let the Oracle suggest three meditations for how you feel today. There’s no account, and everything stays private on your phone.

Grief & letting go: how to use the app in 4 steps

  1. Begin softly: tell the Oracle what you’re going through, like “I miss my father,” and choose one of its three suggestions, or start with the seven-minute Compassion Meditation.

  2. When you feel ready, play The Garden of Reunion or My Departed Animal. Choose a quiet moment, keep tissues nearby, and know you can pause at any time.

  3. Approach forgiveness step by step: Forgiving Without Forgetting first, then Forgiving Yourself or Heart-Centered Ho’oponopono, at your own pace and only if you wish.

  4. Create a personal sanctuary, a safe inner place to return to, and write in your journals after each session. Everything stays private, on your phone.

Frequently asked questions

How do I use MeditaDream when I’m grieving?

Go at your own pace. Short, gentle sessions like Compassion Meditation can keep you company on hard days. When you feel ready, The Garden of Reunion and My Departed Animal offer a space to remember and say what was left unsaid. Writing in your journals afterward can help too, and the Oracle can suggest three meditations for today.

Do I have to forgive in order to let go?

No. Letting go doesn’t require forgiving, and forgiving doesn’t mean forgetting or excusing what happened. Forgiving Without Forgetting explores resentment without imposing forgiveness, and The Forest of Thorns looks at how you face what hurts. Some people find forgiveness along the way; others simply find more peace. Both are valid.

Can MeditaDream replace support during grief?

No. MeditaDream offers a personal space for reflection, but it does not replace a health professional or the people close to you. If your grief feels overwhelming, lasts a long time or makes daily life hard, please reach out to a health professional or a support group. Meditation can sit alongside that help, never instead of it.
